About Us...

Blacon Beacon is a food charity which exists entirely for the benefit of Blacon residents. Registered with the Charity Commission as 'Pantry for Blacon' CIO registration number 1183763. We're based at Holy Trinity Church hall. We have fantastic volunteers working for us, who help with stock taking, serving food, and welcoming members to Blacon Beacon, but we're always on the look out for more volunteers, so please get in touch if you can help.

Manager -Lesley Smith

Lesley joined the team as General Manager for Blacon Beacon in 2022. She is a trained teacher and taught Drama for twenty years. Previous to this role, Lesley worked as a Community Volunteer Manager for Safe Families on the Wirral. For her, it was a real blessing to see friendships develop and families feeling supported, empowered and connected with people and groups in their community. She is excited about ensuring that Blacon Beacon continues to offer healthy food to people and families from Blacon who benefit from this support.  Lesley also has a heart for looking at how we can offer and link up to other needed services that help Blacon residents to feel that they are not alone and that the support they need is available.
