Slow Cooker Project
We are starting up a new Slow Cooker Project after May/June half term. Please contact us if you are interested in joining, as we plan to have a meeting about what will happen when very soon.
Objectives:

-
Reducing bills - Ability to create home cooked meals using less energy (46 p for 8 hours energy).
-
Saving Landfill - Using preloved slow cookers recycled and PAT tested by Changing Lives Together
-
Reducing waste - Utilising ingredients from community supermarkets and Cheshire Food Hub
-
Creating cooks! - Recipe bags that are provided will hopefully encourage new cooking skills and adventurous meals you may not have thought about making before!

How it works:
01
Register your interest in joining the slow cooker project with us at Blacon Beacon through email, telephone or message
02
You can join if either you DO or DON'T have a slow cooker. If you don't have a slow cooker please mention this to us as we are able to loan them out, along with receiving a store cupboard ingredient bag
03
Once registered, you will receive recipe bags with a recipe card inside every two of weeks (in term time) which you can collect from us at Holy Trinity Hall
04
Send us photos or messages or tell us about how your meals are getting on!
Support for the recipes, including a Youtube video, will be available online
Every two weeks another recipe and ingredients pack will be provided, each one adding another idea / skill level from the one before.
If you are interested in getting involved in this project and getting creative with your slow cooker recipes, please get in touch with us!
